Here are are first impressions of the brand-new fifth-generation iPod nano with video, FM radio and built-in pedometer. It's available in 8 and 16GB. US pricing is 145$ and 175$
After research and a recent purchase of the new iPod nano I am prepared to write a review to help you decide if its right for you.
The hardware:
The new Ipod Nano now comes standard with a larger 2.2 inch screen, though it may be hard to notice. In terms of the video shooting capabilities, the Nano adds an inregrated mic and speaker as well camera itself. Speaking of the video playback you will be pleased to know that the built in speaker is very loud and decent sounding if you have a video or some tunes you want to show to some of your friends. The coolest piece of the camera is the real-time effects such as Thermal, Film Grain, Kaleidoscope and X-Ray. Although don't expect miracles - these are just fun little effects.The integrated pedometer and Nike+iPod features also integrate seamlessly....
The software:
Genius Mixes: Making music mixes has never been easier. Because now Genius does it for you ;
FM radio + Live Pause. Return of the radio star: Rock out with the new FM tuner. And two innovative features — Live Pause and iTunes Tagging — make it smarter than the average radio;
VoiceOver: speaks the names of songs and artists. So you can navigate your music without looking at the screen ;
Finally, All these additions combine with the iPod nano's exquisite interface to make this a worthy successor to the best selling MP3 player in history. Sure, there's little here to improve its actual music-playing abilities, but when Apple has made such a supreme job of refining them over the previous four generations it hardly needs too.
